HOW TO PREVENT HACKERS FROM HACKING (CRACKING) INTO YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT (Facebook, Instagram, twitter, etc)

1.     USE A STRONG PASSWORD: Most social media users make use of their phone number, names, date of birth, 12345…., as their password which is not a strong password. Hackers can guest or copy your phone number from your social media account and try it as your user name and password and most time can gain access to your account and change your password.

2.     ALWAYS LOG OUT WHENEVER YOU LOGIN IN A PUBLIC SYSTEM: Some social media users always forget to log out whenever they login in a public system. Some browser can save your user name and password automatically whenever you login using such browsers, while some browser will prompt you to save your password on this site. Please click Never on this site. Note if you want to make use of public system make sure you logout your account from that browser before leaving, if not somebody may want to use the same system and will gain access to your account and can change your password.

3.     DO NOT WRITE DOWN YOUR PASSWORD ON PAPER OR SAVE YOUR PASSWORD ON YOUR PHONE: Password is secret. So your password should be on your brain, memorize it and you will never forget it. Most people save their password on their phone, people you give your phone to use most time can gain access to your password.

4.     DO NOT DISCLOSE YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYBODY: Your password belongs to only you; on no account should you disclose your password to anybody. Also make sure when entering your password in any device don’t allow anybody to be looking at you. (Hackers are smart)

5.     DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO CHOOSE PASSWORD FOR YOU: Most people will tell you choose any password for me ‘is wrong’ choose your password yourself, your password is your own. Don’t trust anybody when it comes to money and password.

6.     CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD REGULARLY: Changing your password regularly can prevent hackers from cracking into your account. You can change your password on daily basis, weekly basis even monthly basis.

7.     AVOID FILLING UNNECESSARY FORMS ONLINE:  Hackers create form using Google form online, link it to their email, any information provided on that form online goes directly to their mails and with that they can do and undo that ever they like with your social media account.

8.     DO NOT ACTIVATE REMEMBER PASSWORD WHEN LOGGING IN, IN ANY PUBLIC SYSTEM
